Despite the vile acts of rivaling eyes, Balochistan
is gaining stability under political government, and Pakistan military and
agencies with the support of the people of Balochistan have frustrated sinister
designs of detractors of Pakistan. Yet, Pakistan has to be watchful of India,
which is still trying to fan terrorism, violence, militancy, linguistic hatred
and inter-provincial disharmony to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic
Corridor (CPEC) project. India has not only been funding insurgents but also
continues its propaganda to poison the minds of people of Balochistan, but its
hopes have been dashed to the ground. During the last six years, Pakistan Army
through recruitment of Baloch in the army, by establishing health centres and
other facilities it has contributed towards winning hearts and minds of Baloch
youth. Out of frustration, Indian RAW and National Directorate of Security
(NDS) of Afghanistan’ nexus have stepped up their activities.
Naela Quadri Baloch a self-styled president of the
World Baloch Women Forum is in India for some time, and using Indian media to
spread venom against Pakistan. In her article carried by the Times of India,
Naela Quadri Baloch blamed the Nawaz Sharif-led government of genocide against
Balochis. She believed that conditions prevailing in Balochistan are similar to
the ones in former East Pakistan in 1971. She sought India’s support on the
pattern of its intervention in former East Pakistan. Recently, she gave a
lengthy interview to Times of India (ToI). While speaking with Aarti Tikoo
Singh of ToI, Naela Baloch distorted the history accusing that Pakistan
‘seized’ Balochistan, many Baloch people have been killed, and 25000 people
including women and children are missing. Her outpourings are apparently a
response to the arrest of RAW terrorist and spy Kulbhushan Yadav.
Earlier, she was in Chahbahar having contacts the Indian consulates in Iran and Afghanistan, and working as per Indian designs. The question is what Naela Quadri Baloch is doing in India? Apart from promoting cause of the leaders of banned Baloch organizations, she appears to be a liaison between Indian RAW and the Baloch dissidents, and a coordinator for providing funds to those who are in self-exile, and also those who continue with insurgency in Balochistan. She had denied having any information about alleged Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Yadav, whom Pakistan claimed to have arrested from Balochistan. “It’s a lie, we don’t know from where they have arrested him (Kulbhushan Yadav), and they’re showing that it was from Pakistan,” she said.
In her interview, she passed derogatory remarks against founder of nation, Quaid-i-Azam. But what one can expect from alien agents? She had also referred to American Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and others as supporters of Balochistan. The United States Committee on Foreign Affairs had convened a congressional meeting on February 8, 2012 for an exclusive discussion on the gravity of situation in Balochistan. The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Republican Dana Rohrabacher, held a session to discuss target killings and human rights situation in Balochistan, and termed it a matter requiring urgent attention. This provocative meddling of some half a dozen US congressmen in a matter strictly an internal affair of Pakistan is despicable and condemnable. In his opening remarks, Rohrabacher had said: “Balochistan is a turbulent land marred by human rights violations by regimes that are against US values”. Then Pakistan’s ambassador Sherry Rehman had raised the issue with the US government.
Coming back to Naela Baloch’s interview with the Times of India, she said: “It is freedom struggle; we were occupied by Pakistan on March 27, 1948 and ever since we have been fighting against Pakistan to free ourselves. Balochistan was never a part of India or Iran or Afghanistan or any other country. Balochistan was always independent. So an independent country was occupied.” To a question as to how Balochistan’s freedom struggle is different from the separatist movement in Kashmir, she said: “Kashmir was never a country; it was a princely state under a Maharaja. Kashmir was always a part of greater India. Instrument of accession was offered to princely states. Balochistan was not a princely state; it was an independent country.” There are many myths about Balochistan and one of them is that Balochistan was never part of undivided India.
Second myth is that it had a special status vis-à-vis other princely states of undivided India, which was not the case. At the time of partition of India, Viceroy Lord Mountbatten addressing the Darbar of princely states had declared that suzerainty of the Crown had ended, and advised them to join India or Pakistan keeping in view the interests of the people and geographical contiguity. Naela Baloch also grossly exaggerated the figures of missing persons and she quoted figure of 25000 which is a lot more than what Mama Qadeer has been claiming. A judicial commission headed by Justice Javed Iqbal (Retired) had finalized a 204-page report, which was later handed over to the Supreme Court. The commission stated that “a total of 621 persons went missing while 359 persons have been recovered so far. It was also observed that the recovered persons were not sharing complete information due to fear.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt through credible sources that Engineer Mohammad Khan very close friend and 1st Advisor to Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah has been arrested by Afghan forces/agencies for alleged links with Daesh. Afghan government, NDS and CIA are hand in gloves. After the arrest of Indian RAW terrorist Kulbhushan Yadav last month, an officer of the Afghan intelligence agency was arrested inside Pakistani territory near Chaman border-crossing in Balochistan last week. Afghan officer named Rozi Khan – reportedly a second lieutenant in the intelligence unit of the Afghan army – was arrested by Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) officials in Chaman over charges of crossing the border without possessing any authentic travel documents to enter into Pakistan. This speaks volumes about Indian RAW and NDS nexus against Pakistan. But Pakistan will frustrate their sinister designs, as done in the past.
